Sean Connaughton, Esquire, is an Associate Attorney with Davis & Palumbo, LLC. Sean is licensed to practice law in the State of Maryland and the District of Columbia. His practice areas include Family Law, Civil Litigation, Criminal/Traffic/DUI, Personal Injury, Landlord/Tenant, and Real Property.
Sean earned his B.A. in Political Science with Minors in History and Philosophy from St. Mary’s College of Maryland and his J.D. from The Catholic University of America Columbus School of Law. He worked as a Legal Intern in Warsaw, Poland, for Domanski Zakrzewski Palinka (DZP) and then as a Law Clerk in D.C. at the Office of Special Counsel. Most recently, Sean served as the Judicial Law Clerk for Judge Andrew Rappaport in Calvert County Circuit Court from September 2024 to September 2025.
Sean is driven by a desire to make his work meaningful for his clients as well as the broader community. Known for his calm demeanor and ability to stay composed under pressure, he finds deep satisfaction in helping others navigate some of the most challenging moments in their lives. He understands that people often turn to lawyers during times of uncertainty and stress and takes pride in being a reliable advocate who provides both solutions and a sense of security.
While Sean brings a friendly nature and a good sense of humor to his professional life, he is committed to the values of hard work and dependability, especially in high-pressure situations. Sean grew up in Gaithersburg, MD, and is excited to be working in the close-knit and friendly community of Southern Maryland. He is an amateur Muay Thai competitor and enjoys reading, fishing, golfing, and spending time outdoors.
